PICK AND PLACE
Model 155

The Model 155 Pick and place is a machine for picking dice or other small parts and placing it on a substrate or other part. The operation o fthe Pick and Place is manual and is preformed under a microscope.

This machine consist of:

  1. A base plate with a smooth sliding surface
  2. A sliding pedestal with dice and substrate trays
  3. A tip holding lever with linkage for vertical motion
  4. Vacuum controls for picking dice

OPERATIONS AND FEATURES:

DICE PICK-UP LEVER WITH TIP:

The tip is mounted in a lever. The lever is independently weighted to prevent too much force on the die in pick-up or placement. A vacuum tube is connected to the tip.

TIP LOWERING HANDLE:

The tip lowering handle is linked supportively to the tip lever. It disangages from the tip lever and when the lowering motion is continued it acutates a limit switch which will on first application, connect vacuum to the tip and on second application, remove vacuum from the tip. A push button switch is also mounted on the lowering handle and will alternately actuate and remove the vacuum to the tip regardless of handle position.

PEDESTAL WITH TRAYS:

A sliding pedestal, movable by hand, has two trays mounted on it. The trays are individually adjustable for height and the distance between them can also be adjusted. The pedestal is moved by hand to pick dice from one tray and place it on the substrate on the other tray.
